Atkinson -- T. R. Atkinson purchased "the Mud Church" six months ago and is now tearing it down to make way his new residence on the site. The Mud Church was the oldest church edifice in town, one of the first erected. Built and used for many years by the Congregationalists, then it was used for some time by the Baptists, prior to the erection of their present building. The Good Templars then occupied it for a few years, followed by the Grangers for a while [NR18810708p3]
