The Christian Guardian of 10 Nov 1920 contains a half-page write-up on Simcoe's fine new organ, recently installed in
St. James Methodist Church.

It also refers to the opening recital when the capabilities of the instrument were amply demonstrated by Mr. H. A. Fricker, M.A., Mus. Bac., F.R.C.O.

Speaking of St. James Male Quartette, it says "Would that more young men had the ambition to combine their vocal energies in this manner, and that more choirmasters would encourage them to do so."

A half-tone cut of P. George Marshall, L.A.B., appears with the article.
Mr. Marshall is classed as being the ambitious choir master of St. James Church with a knowledge of accomplishing good things. "More power to Mr. Marshall and such as he," are the finishing words in reference to Mr. Marshall.
