Born in Scotland, came to Canada after fighting in the Crimean War and settled in Tillsonburg where he conducted a brush manufacturing business until 20 years ago when he moved to Nixon and carried on the same occupation there. A staunch Presbyterian. Wonderful voice, leading entertainer. Masonic service at graveside in Tillsonburg. Survived by invalid wife, three sons, daughter Miss Nellie at home
