The following is a lightly edited transcript of the Local Items column on page 12 of the 6 Jun 1918 Simcoe Reformer.

On Tuesday morning Messrs. Geo. and Robt. Feargue
of the Township of Dawn in Lambton County arrived
here by motor from Sarnia in Attendance on the remains
of their deceased brother, John, who died on Sunday
in the Sarnia Hospital.

The Feargue Brothers are Woodhouse men, sons of
the late James Feargue of that township.

They moved 20 or 30 years ago to Lambton where they have prospered.

John, the elder brother, sickened a few weeks ago, and
had to submit to an operation, from which he did not recover. He was never married and in his 59th year.

The funeral took place in Port Dover Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. The services were in charge of Rev. Geo. Hicks of Sarnia. The pallbearers were boyhood friends
E. Bannister, J. Fletcher, Jas. Corbett, Thos. Chapman,
W. Slocomb and A. Newcombe.
