Blacklock -- General C. R. Blacklock, C.B.E., C.M.G., D.S.O., youngest general in the British Army during World War I, was born 26 Sep 1880 in England, and died 14 Oct 1936 at Port Rowan. He is buried in Knowles-Carholme Cemetery. His only daughter, Mrs. Betty (Blacklock) McDowell was confirned to hospital in London and unable to attend the 1943 annual decoration of his grave.
