An lightly edited partial transcription of the Local Items column on page 6 of the 11 Sep 1919 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper. 

Walter, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. George Blake, Main Street, died on Monday, 8 Sep 1919 in his 22nd year.

The young fellow never fully recovered from the influenza of last fall and had been in failing health since that time.

For some time he was in the employ of the British Canadian and later with the
Simcoe Litho.

The funeral is being held this afternoon to Oakwood Cemetery.
