Vail, Isaac (1756-1836) served as a Sergeant in the New York Volunteers during the American Revolution then went in the 1783 exodus of New York to New Brunswick where he married Elizabeth Caldwell. They brought their family to Woodhouse Township by 1800. Includes three generations of descend.

Van Allen, Henry (c. 1767/8-1818) was born at Long Island, New York and while a boy served in the American Revolution in the third Battalion of the New Jersey Volunteers. He went in the 1783 Loyalist exodus of New York to New Brunswick and married Winifred Rapelje. They came to Woodhouse Township in 1800. Includes children and grandchildren 

VanBuskirk, Samuel (c. 1800-1876) came with his parents from Albany County, New York to Upper Canada. He moved to Townsend Township by 1832 and married Hannah Messecar. Includes ancestry, children and grandchildren

Vanderburgh (c. 1740) lived on Long Island, New York during colonial times. In the American Revolution he was a Captain in a Loyalist Regiment called Emerick’s Chausseurs. He and his wife Sarah (Bogaert) Rapelje went in the Loyalist exodus of New York to New Brunswick and in 1800 settled in Woodhouse Township

VanLoon, Jacob (1783-1866) and his brothers Evert (1786-1861) and Abraham (1790-1856) all sons of Albertus VanLoon of Loonenburg, Greene County, New York came to Upper Canada after 1815 and settled in Walpole Township, Haldimand County. Some of their children settled in Norfolk County. Includes three generations of descendants 

VanNorman, Joseph M. (1796-1888) as a child went with his parents from New Jersey to Lower Smithfield, Pennsylvania then Canandaigua, New York. In 1821, he and partners started the VanNorman Iron works at Normandale in Charlotteville Township. Includes three generations of descendants 

Vasbinder, Philip (1785-1871) came from Sussex County, New Jersey to Windham Township in 1823. Includes four generations of descendants.

Veit, Friedrich (c. 1810-) and his brothers John (c.1813-), Matthias (c.1803-), Leonard (c. 1816-) and George (1826-1909) came from Wurttemberg, Germany by 1845 and settled in Middleton Township. Includes three generations of descendants
