Neill/Neal George (c. 1750-1840) lived in South Carolina during colonial times. In the American Revolution he served as a Major in Colonel King’s Corps. Following the war he became a Methodist Minister and travelled in the southern states, then in 1788 came to Queenston in the Niagara District of Upper Canada. About 1793, he settled in Beverly Township, Wentworth County, then Charlotteville Township by 1815. Includes children

Nelles, Abraham (1795-1879) lived with his mother Mary Sitts at York, Haldimand County, Upper Canada then in 1804 went with her and her husband George Cunningham to Townsend Township where he married Mary Fairchild. Includes three generations of descendants

Nelles, Andrew (1746-c. 1825) and his wife Elisabeth Wagner brought their family from the Mohawk Valley of New York to Mount Pleasant, Brantford Township in neighboring Brant County, Upper Canada in 1798. A 338 page illustrated hard-covered book by Robert Mutrie: Andrew Nelles: A New Canadian, 1798, includes descendants down to the twentieth century in Brant and Norfolk Counties and elsewhere. $39.50. Newkirk, Peter (c. 1774-1853) came from the United States to Walsingham Township by 1810. Includes three to four generations of descendants

Nichol, Robert (c. 1780-1824) came from Scotland to Upper Canada in 1792 and lived successively at Fort Detroit, Amherstburg and Fort Erie until 1809 when he settled at Port Dover, Woodhouse Township. He served as a Member of the Legislature for Norfolk County. Includes children

Nickerson, Moses Chapman (1804-1871) and his brother Eleazar Freeman Nickerson (1806-1862) were born in Vermont then lived in New York. In 1831, they established a store at Mount Pleasant in Brant County, then settled at Colborne, Windham Township. Moses moved to Port Dover in Woodhouse Township, where he was active in developing the village and port. Includes parents and three generations of descendants

Eliud Nickerson (c. 1792- ) born in Connecticut, went with his parents to Grantham Township in Lincoln County then settled in Windham Township in Norfolk County by 1850. Includes parents, children and grandchildren Sarah H. Nickerson (c. 1811- ) widow of Nathaniel Nickerson settled in Townsend Township about 1849. Includes children and grandchildren. Benjamin Nickerson (c. 1814- ) came from Nova Scotia and settled in Townsend Township before 1852. Includes children and grandchildren. John Nickerson (c. 1828-) and his wife Elizabeth Ransom lived at Simcoe. Includes children

Nunamaker, John Jacob (c. 1760) lived in Pennsylvania and during the American Revolution. Joined the King’s Royal Regiment of New York. Later settled in Cornwall Township, Stormont County, Upper Canada. His son Jacob Nunamaker settled in Townsend Township by 1812. Includes children

Nunn, Joshua Edward (c. 1766-1852) and his brother Benjamin Nunn (1775-1863) came from Schooley’s Mountain Morris County, New Jersey to Upper Canada in 1796 and settled in Lincoln County. In 1816, Joshua moved to Bayham Township, Elgin County. Then in 1819 he settled in Middleton Township, Norfolk County. Benjamin settled in Walpole Township, Haldimand County, and late in life lived with his children in Townsend Township, Norfolk County. Includes ancestry and three generations of descendants from each.
