Gable, Henry (c. 1765-1834) and his wife Elizabeth came from Berks County, Pennsylvania and settled in Toronto Township, Peel County. Their son Samuel Gable and one son of their son Henry, George Washington Gable, settled in Townsend Township. Includes four generations of descendants

Gardner, Samuel (1816-1892) and his wife Eleanor Perry came from Gloucester Co., England to Simcoe about 1845. Includes children and grandchildren 

Garner, Alexander (c. 1792-) and his wife Sarah Elizabeth came from England to Ontario about 1820 and settled in the Niagara area. They moved with their sons Charles and Jacob to Windham Township in the 1840s. Includes children and grandchildren 

Gates, Calvin Clark (1802-1873) came from Genesee County, New York before 1825 and married Elizabeth Burgar. They lived at Walpole Township, Haldimand County, then settled in Houghton Township by 1856. Includes three generations of descendants 

Gilbert, Isaac
(1742-1822) and his wife Mary Rowland lived at Ridgefield, Connecticut during colonial times. During the American Revolution, Isaac served in the Queen’s Rangers and in 1783 went in the Loyalist exodus from New York to New Brunswick. In 1799, they brought their family to Woodhouse Township. Includes five generations of descendants in Norfolk and elsewhere 

Gilbert, Josiah (c. 1756-1831) lived at South Salem, Westchester County, New York during colonial times and served in the King's American Regiment during American Revolution. Josiah went to New Brunswick in 1783 and married his first wife Elizabeth. Josiah and his second wife, Sarah Outhouse, came to Upper Canada in 1796 and settled in Townsend Township. They settled afterwards in Norwich Township, Oxford County. Includes three generations of descendants

Gillaspy, William (1791-1867) came from New Jersey to Walsingham Township in 1812 and married Harriett Ann Monro, daughter of Norfolk Pioneer Lieutenant John Monro. William settled on his father-in-law’s crown grant and was a founder of the village of St. Williams. They had only one surviving child Mary Jane Gillaspy (1817-1889) who married Peter Price and her descendancy is continued in the Price genealogy. Two page Gillaspy biography 

Glover, Jacob (c. 1750-1813) and his wife Deborah Moore lived in Sussex County, New Jersey during colonial times. During the American Revolution Jacob served in the Loyalist regiment Volunteers of Ireland and came to Grimsby Township, Lincoln County, Upper Canada in 1787. He moved to Townsend Township by 1799. Includes three generations of descendants

Goodhue, Ebenezer (1773-1853) was born along the New Hampshire–Vermont state line, then lived in Bath, Steuben County, New York. He married Anah Owen and followed her father Epenetus Owen to Lincoln County, Upper Canada after 1797 then to Charlotteville Township in 1799. Includes parental biography and four generations of descendants

Gordon: A collection of Norfolk County genealogies for this surname. William Gordon (c. 1803-1891) and his wife Mary came from Scotland and settled in Walsingham Township near Silver Hill by 1841. John Gordon (c. 1812-) and his wife Sarah came from Ireland and settled in Port Rowan, Walsingham Township by 1841. Robert Gordon (c. 1819- ) came from Aberdeen, Scotland before 1845 and settled in Round Plains, Windham Township. Nathaniel Gordon (c. 1841-) and his wife Lois settled in Windham then Townsend Township. Frank Gordon (c. 1845-1884) came from Madisonville, Kentucky and was a merchant in Simcoe. The first three named include children and grandchildren. The last two include children

Goring, Francis (1755-1842) came from London, England to Upper Canada and married Lucy Secord, daughter of Long Point Settler Peter Secord. They lived at Niagara Township, Lincoln County. Some descendants settled in Townsend and Windham Townships. Includes five generations of descendants

Graham, James (1783-1854), a physician, and his wife Elizabeth, came from the United States to Upper Canada by 1805 and were in Woodhouse Township by 1812. Includes children and grandchildren

Graham, John Tampas came from England and with his wife Tamzan settled in Townsend Township by about 1847. Includes three generations of descendants 

Gray, George (1811-1892) and his wife Jane E. Charlton came from Caledonia, Livingston County, New York to Lynedoch Charlotteville Township in 1848. Includes three generations of descendants

Graydon, John (c. 1802-1861) and his wife Mary Silverthorn settled in Windham Township by 1836 then in Walsingham Township in 1852. Includes children and grandchildren

Green, Benjamin (c. 1750-1838/9) served in Butler's Rangers during American Revolution. Came to Upper Canada about 1787 and married Sarah Burtch. They settled in Ancaster Township, Wentworth County, then Townsend County by 1796. Includes three generations of descendants

Green, John (1802-1852) and his brother James Lodor Green (1810-1888), nephews of Norfolk pioneer mill builder Job Lodor came from Pennsylvania to Waterford, Townsend Township during the 1820s. Includes John’s children and three generations of James’ descendants 

Green, Reuben (c. 1750) Sussex County, New Jersey resident, a New Jersey Volunteer during American Revolution. In Upper Canada by 1802, settled in Woodhouse then Townsend Township. Includes ancestors and three generations of descendants. Also includes his brother Charles Green and his family

Griffin, Richard (1732-1795) and his wife Mary Smith lived at Nine Partners Precinct, Dutchess County, New York during colonial times. In the American Revolution Richard served in the Loyalist forces then in 1787/8 came to Upper Canada and settled at Smithville, Clinton Township, Lincoln County. Among his children, his son Nathaniel Griffin (1766-1855) settled in Windham Township. Some of Richard Griffin’s grandchildren in other branches also settled in Windham and Townsend Townships and are included. Includes ancestry and three generations of descendants in Norfolk and elsewhere

Griffin, Saunders (born est. 1775) was a son of Margaret (Mabee) Manuel) by her first husband, and a nephew of Charlotteville Township pioneer Frederick Mabee. He went with his uncle Obediah Griffin to Nova Scotia after the American Revolution. Saunders came to Upper Canada in 1813 and settled in Malahide Township, Elgin County. Includes three generations of descendants

Groff, Mark (c. 1784-) and his wife Elizabeth came from Pennsylvania to Upper Canada by 1826 and settled in Woodhouse Township, near Port Dover by 1834. They lived afterwards in Simcoe. Includes three generations of descendants

Gundry, Jonathan (c. 1800-) and his wife Elizabeth Presland emigrated from London, England to Simcoe about 1845. Includes three generations of descendants 

Gustin, John (1762-1821) grew up in colonial and revolutionary Sussex County, New Brunswick. Toward the end of the war he married Abigail Smith, daughter of Norfolk pioneer Abraham Smith and followed his father-in-law to Upper Canada, settling at Bertie Township, Welland County in 1787. They then moved with the Smith family to Charlotteville Township. Includes five generations of descendants . (Full biography included in The Long Point Settlers Journal Vol. 3, No. 4)
