"Bank of Hamilton Branch Canadian Bank of Commerce.  Was first opened in a portion of the H. H. Groff building, now occupied by the Molsons Bank. Benjamin Wilson was its first manager.  In 1898 the present premises at Norfolk and Argyle Streets were purchased from J. Lorne Campbell, and the Bank's Simcoe headquarters have not been changed since.  Managers since Mr. Wilson's regime include Messrs. Corbould, J. Butterfield, B. Forsayeth, L. E. Wedd, H. L. Selby and Wm. McKay (who was here during Mr. Selby's absence overseas)."
