Dr. Fred. S. Snider
"Born in Windham in 1855, son of George Snider. Attended Simcoe High School and graduated in medicine from McGill College, Montreal.  Practiced in Simcoe for a short time, then went to Teeterville for a number of years. Later moved to Waterford, thence to Simcoe when he was appointed Sheriff in 1908. Member County Council as representative of District No. 1, Townsend and Waterford.  Warden of Norfolk in 1898. Dr. Snider was a very prominent member of the Conservative party in North Norfolk.  He died in Simcoe on February 19th, 1918."
