Notes:
Like his father and grandfather before him, Thomas was a land surveyor. He laid out Walsingham Centre about 1860 for S. D. Brown; drew maps for Illustrated Atlas of Norfolk County, 1877, and was twice elected Warden of Norfolk County in 1880 and 1881. He subsequently ran unsuccessfully for the provincial legislature. He was Treasurer of Norfolk County when he died.
