Dr. Arthur Wellesley Smith "Fourth son of D. B. Smith and grandson of 'Uncle Billy' Smith, Norfolk's first white settler, and of Eli Chadwick, who established the Chadwick Academy, south of Vittoria, in 1826. Born in Charlotteville, Aug. 25th, 1849. Graduated from Royal College Dental Surgeons, 1874. Practised dentistry for half a century, at Cayuga 1872-5, at Simcoe 1875-1922. Served on Simcoe Board of Education six years." Also see: his 1933 obituary |
