Joseph Jackson
"For many years Sheriff of Norfolk County.  Born in Houghton Township in 1831. As a boy he worked on his father's farm.  In 1861 engaged in lumbering business for himself and continued until appointed Sheriff in 1892. Representative of South Norfolk in the House of Commons 1882-1887."
