Notes:
Daniel appears on 1784 and 1793 New Jersey tax ratables as "Daniel McCaul" and "Daniel McColl Jr." He was 24 when his extended birth family emigrated to Upper Canada in 1776. He subsequently fought in the War of 1812 as a Captain and was eventually promoted to Lieutant-Colonel. Jenny was a maid in the employ of Samuel Ryerse, J.P., who married them. Amelia (Ryerse) Harris (Sam's daughter) recounted their romance and life in her Memoriam. Daniel and Jenny farmed Lots 22 and 23, Concession 6, Charlotteville.
