Isaac S. Rowat Isaac S. Rowat
"Born in Simcoe County, 1851.  Educated at Barrie High School and Toronto Normal School. Taught school at Morrisburg, Kingston, Athens, Caledonia and finally became principal of the Public and Model Schools of Simcoe in 1889, which position he held until his death in 1908. Several years an elder of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church.  Always known as an earnest, conscientious teacher and won for himself many friends."
