| Fred R. Pursel "Son of Charlotte and Hiram Pursel. Born at Simcoe in 1879. Attended Simcoe public school. Learned shoe business with Henry Carter. Later buyer for McLaren Co., St. Catharines, and finally in business in [sic] himself. Took over Lyric Theatre, which he still controls. Music and theatricals engage great part of his attention." |
