"Born in Windham Township, Norfolk County, August 9th, 1855. Entered The
Reformer Office, Simcoe, Jan. 28, 1869. Commenced work in Registry Office, July 19,
1886. Appointed Deputy Registrar, October 14th, 1886. Has served under three Registrars --
A. J. Donly, W. E. Tisdale and
Dr. W. M. McGuire. Likes gardening and is fond of flowers. Also good music, pictures and
