Notes:
William sailed from England to India in 1846-47, then immigrated to Norfolk County. He and Elsie lived with or next to her parents all their married life. Modestly independently wealthy, William co-founded St. Williams' Anglican Church, repeatedly extended his home and gardens until it resembled an English manor, each time he received more of his inheritance. He had a talking crow named Jim, and was keenly interested in science. After William died Elsie sailed to England to return family heirlooms (including large painted portraits of various family members) to his family. Elsie's will extended to 29 handwritten pages, making it one of Norfolk's longest. No issue.
