Their Children:
Robert Monro married Phoebe Wood, then Hannah Moore, then Lydia Post
Mary Monro married Ephraim Tisdale IV
Daniel McCall Monro married Olive Smelley
Notes:
James and Catherine married in New Jersey before coming to Upper Canada and may have had other children than those listed here. An ambitious farmer and merchant, James built a huge house that doubled as a store, pioneer courthouse and tavern. He prospered in part through real estate. James died young, leaving a young widow with three children to raise. Catherine appears to have died about a decade later, as her father's will refers to her daughter but not Catherine.
* Family lore says James and Catherine were buried in the McCall family cemetery and this is assumed to be true, but no record or stone survives to verify that assertion.
