Jackson married Kathleen "Babe" Cowan E. Gordon Jackson married Hazel Jones Douglas C. Jackson married Gloria Ringrose Notes: "E.H." and Jean were second cousins: his maternal grandfather was a half-brother off her paternal grandfather. In his day Ernest was the Dean of Simcoe businessmen, having acquired the pioneer drug store of Dr. James Hayes and Martin Livingstone, and operating it as Jackson's Drug store for over three score years. All three sons joined him in the business. Ernie was president of Norfolk Historical Society in 1933, president of Oakwood Cemetery board, chairman of Simcoe school board, a member of the Library board, honorary president of the Simcoe Board of Trade, and a founding life member of the Phoenix Club.
