councillor Nelson Sylvester Palmerton
N. S. Palmerton (about 1850-1930), 1912 Reeve of Charlotteville Township,
was born in Charlotteville Centre (Walsh), a son of Henry B. Palmerton and
Elizabeth Ann Sovereen, a brother of Henry B. Palmerton Jr. and of Mary
M., wife of Aquilla Holtby Walsh. Sylvester married Mary Ann, daughter of
Thomas Blake of Vittoria. They lived at Walsh, farming Lot 10, Concesssion
5, Charlotteville, where she died in 1920. They had no children and are
buried together in St. Andrews Presbyterian Churchyard Cemetery in
Vittoria.
