(Smith) Syrnick of MacGregor, Manitoba. The original is in the
collection of her cousin, Donna Whittier. Lauraine identified the people
in this photo as John May (born 10 Jun 1808, died 12 Dec 1890) and his
wife Mary Leighton (Layton) (born 6 Aug 1811, died 10 Jun 1881). They
lived on Lot 11 Concession 1 of Charlotteville township, east of Forestville
and north of Turkey
