Wilfred Leask Cardiff, 86, of Simcoe, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2003 at Norfolk General Hospital.  

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion Elizabeth (nee Jackson); their son John and his friend Jo; sister-in-law Kay Cardiff of St. Catharines; brother-in-law William B. Jackson of Port Dover; nieces and nephews Wendy, David and Janice; Bob, Steve, Brock, Lindsay and Libby; Stephanie, Jill and George, their families, and a wide circle of friends. 

Predeceased by daughter Ellen Jeannette (1981); brother Robert  (2001); sister Jean (1986), her husband John C. Spry (1993), and their son Richard (1977). 

The third child, second son, of Frank E. Cardiff and Luella Leask, "Bill" was born 15 Jul 1917 in Simcoe. He graduated Ontario College of Pharmacy 1943 Phm.B., and was the owner/operator of Cardiff Pharmacy Ltd., 56 Robinson Street, Simcoe for 27 years. He subsequently worked another decade at Potter+Shaw Pharmacy (now PharmaSave) in the Whitehorse Plaza, retiring in 1982. 

A life-long member of St. James United Church, Simcoe, Bill and his wife enjoyed summers at Port Ryerse most of their married life. At Bill’s request cremation has taken place. 

Friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating Bill’s life at 2 p.m. Friday, 29 Aug 2003 at St. James United Church, Simcoe, Rev. Dr. G. Paul Stemp officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Ferris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James United Church, Norfolk General Hospital, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
