"Born at Paris, Ont., Nov. 9th, 1854. Resided in Simcoe from 1886 to 1890, as manager of Cope & Young's grocery store, which stood next to the Norfolk House. Has lived in Detroit, Chicago, and at present Westfield, N.J. Nephew of Hon. David Christie, once speaker of the Senate."
