"Born in Fallbrooke, Ont., in 1882. Attended Waterford public and high schools and McMaster University, Toronto. Graduate in dentistry of University of Buffalo. Practised in Jamestown, N.Y. 
Came to Simcoe 15 years ago to enter dry goods business. 
Chairman Board of Education 1921-22."
