| Edwin Clarendon Carpenter "Born on the farm of his father, John B. Carpenter, in 1845. Educated at Simcoe schools and Victoria University, Cobourg. Served in many public capacities and represented North Norfolk in Ontario legislature 1891-1902. Died at Rochester, N.Y., March 2nd, 1920." Also see: 1907 Simcoe's first automobile |
