Identified by Ron Abbey himself.

William Ronald Abbey was born 1935 in Simcoe,
son of Wm. Fraser Abbey and Betty V. Glazebrook,
older brother of Vicki Lennon. Graduating Simcoe
High School in 1954, Ron joined the Dominion Bank.
In 1956, he joined Firestone Canada in Hamilton as
an accountant and later a computer systems specialist.
Ron married Cheryle Braun in 1962 in Stoney Creek;
raised one son, David, in Burlington. Retiring in 1986,
Ron returned to Simcoe, and worked as caretaker of
the Port Dover Yacht Club for 20 years.
Son David was principal of Simcoe Composite School,
2010-2013. Cheryle died 2013 and is buried in
Oakwood Cemetery. Granddaughter Grace is growing
up in Simcoe, also attending SCS.
