Notes:
William, a civil engineer, manufacturer and experiment farmer, was plant manager of Simcoe Canning Company, 1906-1949. Circa 1907, he hired Frank Cardiff of Illinios away from American Can to establish can making in Simcoe. William inherited his parents home at the west end of Union Street in Simcoe and in 1923 donated five acres of this land to the town as the site of a hospital. Also see: photo & bio.
