Sarah Jane Porter, daughter of James Porter and Mary Ellen Smith Born: 6 Apr 1856 in Rockford, Townsend Township Married: Johnston Hair, 26 Jan 1881 in Rockford, Norfolk County (age 24) Died: 30 Oct 1935 at Villa Nova, Norfolk County (age 79)   Buried: Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford, Norfolk County

Their Children: Mary Eliza Hair married Morley Hubert Ward Margaret Jackson Hair married Clarence Leslie Blayney Laura May Hair married Leonard Oliver Herron

Notes: Johnston and Sarah settled on his father's farm, Lot 18, Concession 10, Townsend and farmed there until they retired to Villa Nova in 1920. After Sarah died Johnston resided at his youngest daughter's family at Rockford, where he  died.
