Preface to Contributions  |  List of Contributions  |  Back

This photo scan was contributed 27 Feb 2009 by Douglas Kragh of Tigard, Oregon.
The subjects are the wife and daughters of James H. Church, an English harnessmaker who settled at Vittoria, Charlotteville Township, Norfolk County circa 1862. Although no one alive today can definitely identify the daughter one from another, the obviously oldest lady (sitting, on right) is assumed to be Mrs. Church, and the apparently youngest woman (sitting, on left)  is assumed to be her youngest daugher, Mrs. P. O. Austin.  -- see photo enlargement
