The Death of Ansley Yeager

Simcoe, Jan. 28. --  The death took place Thursday at the home just south of town, of Ansley Yeager widely known horseman, in his 66th year.

Mr. Yeager had not been in good health for some time.

For many years he was one of Canada's best known and most successful breeders of hackney horses, and his stables on Norfolk street south, were the mecca toward which fanciers from both the United States and Canada turned when in quest of high class stock.

And for more than two decades Mr. Yeager was one of the most successful exhibitors at the larger shows in America and carried the name of Simcoe and Norfolk into all the great centres of the continent.

Mr. Yeager was predeceased by his wife about a year ago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William G. Jackson of Simcoe and Mrs. Wilbur McLachian [sic] of Hamilton.
