Transcription of caption from 28 Jan 1909 Simcoe Reformer Warden of Norfolk for 1909 Mr. William Sutton, Reeve of
Simcoe, was on Tuesday selected by the County Council of Norfolk to
preside over its deliberations for 1909. Mr. Sutton was nominated by Reeve
George Walker of Houghton, seconded by Reeve T. E. Alton of Port Rowan,
and his was the only name mentioned for the position. All sections of the
community unite to congratulate Mr. Sutton and commend his advancement to
the highest municipal office in the gift of the people of the county. |
