After many months of illness Mrs. John Pratt died at her home here on Saturday evening last.

Her husband, Private John Pratt, went overseas with the 133rd Battalion and saw service in France. For some time efforts had been made to procure his return and were finally successful. He did not, however, reach Simcoe until Monday.

Besides the husband two children, a boy and a girl are left. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon to Oakwood Cemetery.

The pall-bearers were Sergt T. J. Reid, Corporal E W. French representing the Great War Veterans, George McLachlan and J. W. Walton of the Presbyterian Church, and Arthur Anderson and E. Green on behalf of the Sons of England.
