Mrs. William Honey

The funeral service of Rebecca Jane Erwin, widow of the late
William T. Honey, was held on Sunday, June 14th, at the home of her son, Wilton Erwin Honey, Villa Nova, where she had been ill for several weeks.

She was a life-long resident of Townsend, being a daughter of the late David Erwin and Hanna Woodley Erwin of Villa Nova, and after her marriage resided on the farm now occupied by her son.

Some fifteen years ago she and her husband moved to Waterford where Mr. Honey predeceased her eighteen months ago.

She is mourned by a host of friends who will long remember the bright, cheerful, loving disposition which bore testimony of a life of love and service for her Master, her home and her friends. She was a faithful member of the United Church.

The service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. L. Guinn, B.A., B.D., assisted by Rev. E. J. Whan of Villa Nova Baptist Church.
A beautiful solo was sung by her nephew, Mr. Ray Lemon of Aylmer.

The pall-bearers were John Erwin, Lloyd Erwin, John Birdsell,
Fred Davey, Will Erwin and W. H. Taylor, M.P.

The sympathy of the community goes out to her son and wife,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Honey, two grandchildren Aileen and Wilma;
two sisters, Mrs. A. Birdsell, Mrs. Somers and her only remaining
brother, Mr. Robert Erwin of Simcoe, and the other relatives.

Many were the tokens of love and sumpathy expressed through the beautiful floral tributes.
