St. John's Woodhouse Anglican Church and Churchyard Cemetery [GPS:47.900/17.340] at 883 Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, on the northeast lot at the intersection of Highway 24 and Regional Road 3 (aka St. John's Side Road, aka Red Kelly Line) about three miles south of downtown Simcoe in the former Woodhouse Township. -- see photo enlargement

Late April 2011 wind storms toppled trees in several local cemeteries. Simcoe's Oakwood Cemetery and others were temporarily closed to the public until repairs made them safe again. The photo above shows the two biggest trees downed in John's Woodhouse Cemetery. Although we can't be sure until the downed trees and limbs are removed, remarkably at first glance, we saw no damage to cemetery stones. Photo taken by John Cardiff, 19 May 2011.
