Reformer will publish souvenir book

It is the intention of the Reformer to issue a souvenir book in connection with the Old Boys' Reunion to be held in August next. In fact we have already ordered a ton of the finest coated book paper for this job. Our desire is to make it superior to that of any book issued in any town in Canada.

The number of half-tone cuts used will probably exceed 400 and will include prominent men of the town, Norfolk politicians (past and present), prominent men of days gone by, groups of old boys and girls, sports clubs, lodge officers, etc., manufacturing establishments, schools, churches, public buildings, streets and view of the town, etc.

Included in the book will be the early history of both the county and town, a business directory of fifty years ago and one of the present. The first sixteen pages (9x12) containing the historical part, will be printed in two colors and the cover will be embossed in gold.

It is our desire to get as many business men as possible to use their cuts in this book. Also the old boys at a distance will be asked to help in this way. We wish to continue the series of cuts and invitations to old boys each week until the Reunion. The Reformer makes no charge for this service or carrying the lists of names of old boys and girls. It would be impossible for us to furnish cuts of individuals free of charge, and we are making a charge of $2.00; which is less than cost. All other cuts for the book and Reformer will be furnished by us.

The Reformer and also the Reunion executive will be pleased to have the Old Boys at a distance send their cuts or photographs accompanied by a letter. This will stimulate an interest in the Reunion and will prove of interest to everybody.

Mr. Henry Johnson, of the Norfolk Registry Office, has completed the history of the Town of Simcoe, which comprises over fifty pages typewritten, and this work cannot help but be appreciated by every reader of the book. He has traced the history of the town from the year 1795 to the present time and included are historical sketches of prominent men during all these, the schools, churches, public buildings, etc. No reader can help but be delighted with this most excellent history of the Town of Simcoe.

The history of the County will be completed next month and will also prove of special interest to everybody.
