Site visitor David Battersby of France emailed us the following Desbats and Sohier ancestry on 28 Jun 2015:

Jane Maria Battersby (1846-1900)
     married Yves Henri Bonnet (about 1838-1876)
          Adeline Constance Battersby Bonnet
               married Peter Sohier
                    Henri Sohier
                    Adolph Sohier
                    Bernard Sohier
     married Jean-Baptiste Felix Desbats (1837-1907)
          Adolph Felix Desbats
          Jeanne Marguerite Desbats
          Georges Paul Desbats

Some of Jane Maria Battersby's Desbats children and
Sohier grandchildren came to Norfolk County.

Jane Maria Battersby married twice, first Henri Bonnet, then Felix Desbats.
Her daughter Adeline Bonnet married Peter Sohier, and had at least three sons.
Those three Sohier grandsons and two of Jane's Desbats children settled in Norfolk.
Henri Sohier, Adolph Sohier, Jeanne (Desbats) Perrett and Georges Desbats are
buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Simcoe.
