Transcriber's Preface
by John Cardiff

An Historical Sketch of St. Paul's Church, Simcoe, 1793-1906, published to celebrate the church's 113th anniversary in 1906, was a 25 page booklet of text, photos and illustrations.

Presumably written by Rev. Dey, it was organized into five sections: Introduction, The Pioneer Period, The Period of Division, The Reunited Period, and The Celebration.

This booklet has been completely transcribed and is now all online, illustrated with scans of the photos and other illustrations found in the original.

The original booklet was not indexed. We created the Index.  The original booklet also did not include the Transciber's Notes provided here, which hopefully add perspective.

Many of the web pages in this transcription are long and take several seconds to download over a dial up connection.
