McLay-Abel

A pretty wedding was solemnized Saturday, 23 Apr 1921, at St. James' Anglican Church, Hamilton, when Miss Queenie Victoria, daughter of Mrs. I Abel, 44 First Avenue, formerly of Port Dover, and John McLay, son of Mr. John McLay, Hamilton, were joined in the bonds of matrimony.

Rev. W. L. Archer, M.A., officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Joseph Abel of Leamington, who gave her away. Mrs. Ashley Dudley, sister of the groom, attended the bride, and Mr. Joseph Abel was groomsman.

After a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's mother, the happy couple left for Toronto, Niagara Falls and other points for a short honeymoon. On their return, Mr. and Mrs. McLay will reside in Hamilton.
