Brinn-MacMullen

A very pretty wedding was solemized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs. James MacMillen, Gilbert Street, Delhi, at high noon on 27 Mar 1921, when their eldest daughter, Ellen Irene, was united in marriage to Levi Wilfred Brinn of Guysboro.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. G. Dale. To  the strains of the wedding march, played by the bride's cousin, Miss May Armburst, the bride entered the parlor leaning on the arm of her father and took her place under an arch of evergreens, rosoes and lovers' knots.

The bride looked charming in a dainty gown of French blue satin, wearing a flowing bridal veil, and carried a bouquet of roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Daisy, who wore an ivory silk dress and carried pink carnations.

The little flower girl, Florence May Nichol of Hagersville, carried a basket of sweet peas, in which lay the ring. Harold MacMullen, brother of the bride, supported the groom.

After the ceremony about 30 guests repaired to the drawing room and partook of a dainty wedding dinner. The young couple were recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts. The honeymoon will be spent at eastern points and on their return the happy couple will reside on the groom's farm at Guysboro.
