Speeding Motorist kills Kitchener cyclist

Stanley Kramer, a citizen of Kitchener, was instantly killed on the night of 12 Apr 1921 while cycling quietly home after visiting friends.

He had almost reached home when a motor car came along travelling at a tremendous rate of speed, and struck Kramer, hurling him about 70 feet to a sidewalk.

The reckless mortorist switched out his lights, and putting on increased speed, disappeared before anyone could get his number or a description of the car.

Examination of the deceased showed that he had suffered a facture of the back of his head, a scalp wound, a skull fracture, broken nose and a cut eyelid. When picked up, he was bleeding at the ears.

The deceased was born in Norfolk County, near Delhi, 22 years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father, C. W. Kramer of Delhi, two sisters and two half sisters and four brothers.

The sisters are Nellie and Ada of Delhi; the half sisters are Mrs. Beatrice Bowerman of Windham Centre and Mrs. Sadie Countryman of Port Rowan; the surviving brothers are Lorne and Verne of Delhi, and Charles and Bruce of Ktchener.
