A lightly edited partial transcription of the Bookton column on page 8 of the 7 Apr 1921 issue of the Simcoe Reformer newspaper.

Bookton

Considerable gloom was cast over this neighborhood when it was learned on Saturday last that Mrs. Peter Hyndman had passed away at Brantford Hospital, where she had gone to undergo an operation, from which she never rallied.

The deceased lady was a general favorite and her passing is a district loss to her husband and eight children.

The remains were laid to rest in the Bookton Cemetery on Tuesday, 5 Apr 1921, where a large concourse of friends gathered to pay their last respects to one who had been beloved by both old and young.
