Hunter-Smith

The home of Mr. and Mrs. William Hunter of Langton was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday, 16 Feb 1921, when their youngest daughter, Kathleen, was united in marriage to Godfrey F. Smith of Springford.

The bride looked charming, attired in a gown of cream charmeuse satin and carrying a bouquet of ophelia roses. The bride wore a handsome necklace, the gift of the groom.

While the bridal chorus was being played by Mrs. Haley, sister of the groom, the bride entered the parlor on the arm of her father.

After the ceremony, performed by the Rev. J. M. Haith, B.A. of Woodstock, assisted by Rev. Thomas Snowden of Lynedoch, and congratulations, the bridal party and guests numbering 35 repaired to the dining-room, where a sumptuous repast awaited them.

After ample justice had been done to the good things provided, the newlyweds started for Simcoe to take the train for Toronto and points east. The birde travelled in a blue tricolette dress with coat and hat to match.

The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful gifts, testifying to the esteem in which the young couple were held. On their return they will reside on the groom's farm near Norwich.
