Death of Mrs. John C. West

The funeral of Mrs. West, widow of Mr. John C. West, takes place privately this (Thursday) afternoon, from her late residence, corner Head and Union Streets, to Oakwood Cemetery.

The late Mrs. West had been in Toronto for some months, visiting her daughter, Mrs. William Cope. The deceased lady was taken suddenly ill on Thursday of last week and died Monday afternoon in her 76th year.

Besides the daughter mentioned above, three other children are left to mourn her loss: Mrs. John M. Stalker, Mr. S. J. West and Mr. Charles T. West. Her husband predeceased her nearly three years ago.

The mortal remains of Mrs. John C. West were laid to rest in the family plot at Oakwood Cemetery, Thursday afternoon, 3 Mar 1921.

The funeral services at deceased late home, and at the graveside were in charge of Rev. James Ward, rector of St. John's Anglican Church, Woodhouse.

The pallbearers were Messrs. S. J. West, Charles T. West, S. J. West Jr., Chas. West Jr., Douglas Stalker and Hugh  Abercrombie. Relatives from a distance present were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cope of Toronto, Mrs. Urquhart of Ottawa, Miss Weeks of Brantford, and Mr. Dell of Hamilton.
