Rev. W. J. Dey died in Simcoe

Simcoe, 15 Dec 1921 -- At 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon there passed away at his home on Upper Union Street, Rev. W. J. Dey, M.A., D.D., for 27 years until midsummer 1916, pastor of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. The end was not unexpected. Dr. Dey had been failing rapidly for the past fortnight.

He was 73 years old and leaves a wife and two children, Miss Mary Helena Dey, principal of the Mary C. Wheeler school, Providence, R.I., and Dr. W. F. Dey of Winnipeg, consultant in neurology for the Department of Militia and Defence, and for the Department of Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment.

Miss Dey came home weeks ago, returned, closed the school to come back to minister to her father. Dr. Fred Dey had been here for some time also.

Funeral arrangements are being made. The services will be held at the church. It is expected that representatives will be present from the general assembly, the synod, and the Presbytery.
