Items of Local Interest

The funeral of Elizabeth Abel, widow of the late Alexander Durward, was held from her late residence, Talbot Street, to Oakwood Cemetery on Friday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. D. A. Foster and Dr. W. J. Dey.

The aged lady (she was in her 88th year) had been an invaid for many months and during her illness was tenderly cared for by her daughter-in-law with whom she had made her home for many years.
