West-Gilbertson

A pretty month-end wedding took place Tuesday, 31 Aug 1920, at 11 o'clock, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gilbertson, Woodhouse, when their third daughter, Miss Eva Georgina, became the bride of Mr. Charles Elliott West, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. West, 101 West Street, Simcoe.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a navy blue suit, sable furs and feather hat of blue and gray. She carried a shower bouquet of sweetheart roses and fern.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. Duncan E. Foster, B.A., and Miss Helen Gilbertson, youngest sister of the bride played the wedding march.

Later Mr. and Mrs. West left amid showers of confetti and good wishes for a honeymoon trip around the Georgian Bay and on their return will take up residence in Simcoe.
