George Oliver Werrett passes

The death took place shortly after two o'clock Monday afternoon, 20 Dec 1920, at his residence, Talbot Street North, of George Oliver Werrett, in his 55th year.

Mr. Werrett, although in indifferent health for some time, has only been confined to his home for a few weeks.

He was a son of the late George Werrett and had lived all of his life in Simcoe, being born in the room in which he died.

For the past 30 years the late Mr. Werrett has successfully carried on a business as retail grocer, and at the time of his death he was secretary of the Retail Merchants Association.

Deceased is survived by his widow; one son, Norman E., at home; one brother, W. A. Werrett, barrister, Toronto; and two sisters: Mrs. (Dr.) Wells of Edmonton, Alberta; and Mrs. L. J. Potts of Toronto.

The funeral yesterday afternoon to Oakwood Cemetery, was largely attended. The services at the house and graveside were conducted by Rev. Duncan E. Foster, assisted by Rev. D. A. Moir. The pallbearers were: 
Messrs. Frank Stevenson, C. G. Cross, William Sutton, 
I. D. Lawson, James Cutting and H. A. Carter.

Relatives present from a distance were: 
W. A. Werrett of Toronto
Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Potts of Toronto
Mr. and Mrs. Vokes of Port Dover
Mr. George Kindree of Hamilton, and others.
