Backus -- Pasadena,
California -- Mrs. Lucy A. Backus, widow of the late Dr. John B.
Backus, died at her home in Pasadena, 30 Apr 1921, after an illness
of several months.
She was the eldest daughter
of Rev. A. Slaght, for many years a prominent resident of Norfolk
County.
She leaves to mourn their
loss, a sister,
Mrs. E. H. Lomasney of San Francisco, and
three
daughters, Mrs. W. H. Rammage of Long Beach, and the Misses Grace
and Erie Backus of Pasadena.
